There are dried llama fetuses, which are meant to protect from evil. Something interesting about this city is that it is very fire-resistant: because of its high altitude it is difficult for a small flame to sustain itself.
La Paz has an enormous variety of natural attractions, such as: high snowy mountains, the Andean landscape, desert areas and sub-tropical regions. There are also quite a few very interesting archaeological complexes, such as: Tiahuanaco, which is a wonderful site that has been recently excavated. There are new discoveries being made there almost daily. The Valley of the Moon, a place where erosion has caused stony forms that give the sensation of being on the moon, is also an interesting hike. |
