Itinerary:
Days 1-5: When your international flight arrives in Lima you will accompanied to your hotel.
Next morning, transfer to the airport for your direct flight to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a private tour of the city of Cusco. You will visit various attractions and see the best Inka stonework in the city. Visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, the sacred water site of Tambomachay; Puka Pukara, known also as the resting place and Qenqo, with an Inka altar.
On the following day, in the morning you will be taken to the train station for a journey to Machupicchu, a site considered by many to possess a special mystical energy. Explore the site, and after lunch, head to your hotel. Next day, you’ll have a free morning to explore the village of Aguas Calientes on your own. There are several hiking and nature options in the area. In the afternoon, you will board the return train to Cusco and get off at Poroy; private car will take you the rest of the way to Cusco. In the morning, visit the wonderful Pisac Ruins and Market; visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo. View agricultural terraces and Qolcas, ancient storehouses. Descend to the Inka and the Ñusta baths. Next visit the Church of the Virgin of the Montserrat in Chinchero. Return to your hotel in Cusco.
Days 6-8: In the morning, you will be taken to the airport for your direct flight Cusco – Lima and then your international flight to Quito. Transfer to your hotel in Quito. Early in the morning on the next day, depart from Quito to visit the Otavalo Market, one of South America’s most famous Indian markets. Return to Quito and transfer to your Hotel. In the morning explore the city of Quito, beginning with a drive through the northern residential section and continuing to the historic Colonial Centre, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Visit the Church of San Francisco, Quito’s oldest church and monastery.
Day 9-14: In the morning you shall be taken to the airport to board your flight to the extremely bio-diverse Galapagos Islands. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will travel to Santa Cruz Island. Continue hiking to Dragon Hill (Cerro Dragon. Return to ship.
On the following morning you will disembark at Bartolomé Island and climb up to the summit of the hill. After the hike, enjoy a panga ride around Pinnacle Rock, and after time at the beach, relaxing and/or snorkeling, return to the ship. After lunch, travel to Puerto Egas, where you will see birds and sea lions. Next morning, after breakfast, we disembark at Tower Island; good snorkeling options are available. After lunch, look for whales and dolphins. Later in the day we’ll arrive at North Seymour Island. The afternoon takes you to see a variety of birds, Galápagos sea lions and marine iguanas. Return to ship for dinner
Early the following morning we will disembark to visit Santa Fe (Barrington) Island, which has the oldest rocks of all of the Galapagos. In the afternoon sail to Santa Cruz.
Later, you’ll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. See Giant Tortoises, the Giant Prickly-Pear Cactus forest and many different land birds. Later, see the Scalesia (an endemic giant daisy tree) forest and the twin pit craters, “Los Gemelos”. Return to ship for dinner.
Next morning you will visit Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Island. Here you will visit the San Cristóbal Interpretation Center. Afterwards, you can take a walk through Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, before heading back to the mainland. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Quito. Transfer to hotel in Quito
Last day, at the appropriate hour you will be taken to the airport for your international flight home.
